- What we believe - About Marriage:
- We believe that marriage is not man's invention but God's.
- Gen 2:24 Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh. NKJV
- We believe that marriage is a covenant not a contract, and is to last until "death do us part".
- Mal 2:14 ...because the LORD has been witness Between you and the wife of your youth, with whom you have dealt treacherously; Yet she is your companion And your wife by covenant. NKJV
- We believe that since it is God's plan for marriage to last a life time, that we can count on it that it is HIS WILL for EVERY covenant marriage to be restored.
- Mal 2:16 For the Lord God of Israel says that He hates divorce. NKJV
- Mark 10:9 Therfor what God has joined together, let not man separate. NKJV
- We believe that there is NO SCRIPTURAL JUSTIFICATION for divorce, and even less for remarriege, as long as both partners are living.
